We are grateful to Lifework Orlando for partnering with One Purse for the December class on Generosity! The group collected 28 pre-loved designer purses – this will provide one month of employment for a survivor in our work-therapy program or a scholarship for education!!
The Generosity speakers included local leaders, Pastor David Outing, Corporate Care Partners; Todd Harper, Generous Giving; John Rivers, 4Rivers and national leader David Simms, Talanton.
Alan Schutz, Executive Director, says that the topic of generosity has been transformative to many leaders and over the years these same leaders have helped transform the City Beautiful! Collaborating with organizations like One Purse helps bring understanding of issues and needs in the community to the class. Lifework Alumni Coach and One Purse Director of Philanthropy & Communications, Nicole Millard is grateful for the awareness that Lifework has given to One Purse in the last two years. She also appreciates how class members are seeking to be authentic in their faith in the the workplace and learning from amazing local and national leaders through the program.
Lifework Leadership began in Orlando with a vision for transformation through Christ-centered leadership in the workplace. It has grown to include many cities in the U.S. and around the world. They facilitate an 8-month course that runs from October through May. Classes include teaching from national thought leaders, case studies with prominent Central Florida business leaders, book studies and real-life application and peer-to-peer discussion. Each class examines the life of Jesus they face in their personal and business lives. Learn more about Lifework Orlando.
